Emerging Leaders Pathway 02
Training, for the purpose of exploring
Test the call before you commit your life to it
Six months or more of real ministry responsibility, with pastors close enough to tell you the truth about how it is going. Open to men and women.
The ministry residency at a glance
What it is for
Discernment with real responsibility
The Ministry Residency begins training leaders in the rudiments of vocational ministry. It is for the person who suspects God may be calling them and wants to find out under load rather than in theory. Long enough to pass the point where enthusiasm carries you, and short enough that finding out it is not your calling costs you a season rather than years.
Personal Spiritual Formation
Develop a daily, interactive relationship with God.
Theological Formation
Explore biblical theology, systematic theology, and the nature and purpose of the church for life and ministry.
Practical Ministry Formation
Identify and experience potential ministry domains.
How It Works
Every rhythm, six times over
The same five rhythms as the other pathways. Where the internship samples each one, the ministry residency runs all four study rhythms six or more times, which is where the difference is felt.
