Why We Exist

Across Central New York, many people have little meaningful connection to a healthy local church. No single congregation can reach a whole region on its own, so ours work as one family.

To glorify God by equipping all of Christ's people to live faithful lives of worship as we give every man, woman, and child repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How We Work Together

Six congregations. One church. One mission.

Each congregation keeps its own elders, members, and ministries. What we hold in common is everything that makes those churches stronger.

Gospel Saturation

Two counties. Six churches.

Gospel saturation is the vision of every man, woman, and child having repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. Not once, but again and again, wherever they live. That takes more than one church.

    Our Story

    It began with one church

    Missio Church was planted with a vision larger than a single congregation: to see Central New York changed by the gospel, through everyday Christians and healthy local churches. In the years since, churches have been planted, others replanted, leaders developed, and partnerships formed across the region.

    Today the family is six congregations across two counties, strengthening existing churches, planting new ones, and equipping the next generation of pastors, elders, and planters for Central New York and beyond.

    Through Emerging Leaders, our six congregations run three pathways as one family: a summer internship, a ministry residency, and a two-year pastoral residency, identifying and equipping leaders to plant, revitalize, and pastor across Central New York.
